Sprinter RV Camping in Carpinteria at Carpinteria State Beach Campground

RV camping is a popular activity for many outdoor enthusiasts, and Carpinteria State Beach in California is a prime destination for those seeking sun, sand, and surf. If you’re planning a trip to Carpinteria State Beach and looking for a comfortable and convenient way to travel and camp, a Mercedes Sprinter may be just the vehicle for you.

Why Choose a Mercedes Sprinter for RV Camping?

Mercedes Sprinters are popular among RV enthusiasts for a variety of reasons. These versatile vehicles are spacious, reliable, and easy to maneuver. They offer plenty of room for sleeping, cooking, and relaxing, making them an excellent choice for long road trips and camping adventures.

Sprinter vans are also very fuel-efficient, which means you’ll save money on gas while exploring the beautiful scenery around Carpinteria State Beach. Plus, these vans are designed for easy customization, so you can personalize your vehicle to meet your specific needs and preferences.

Carpinteria State Beach: A Beach Lover’s Paradise

Carpinteria State Beach is a beautiful, mile-long stretch of sand and surf located just south of Santa Barbara, California. The beach is known for its clear water, gentle waves, and stunning views of the surrounding mountains. It’s an ideal spot for swimming, surfing, sunbathing, and relaxing with family and friends.

Camping at Carpinteria State Beach

Carpinteria State Beach has two campgrounds that offer RV camping: the Santa Rosa Campground and the San Miguel Campground. Both campgrounds offer spacious sites with electric and water hookups, as well as easy access to the beach and other amenities.

The Santa Rosa Campground is located on the beach side of the park and offers 124 campsites for RVs and tents. This campground is known for its stunning ocean views, and many of the campsites are just steps away from the water.

The San Miguel Campground is located on the inland side of the park and offers 30 campsites for RVs and tents. This campground is surrounded by beautiful trees and provides a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of the beach.

Exploring Carpinteria and Beyond

When you’re not lounging on the beach or enjoying the campground amenities, there’s plenty to see and do in the Carpinteria area. Take a stroll through the charming downtown area, which is home to a variety of shops and restaurants.

For a unique outdoor experience, visit the Carpinteria Bluffs Nature Preserve, which offers stunning views of the ocean and mountains. You can also take a short drive to the nearby Santa Ynez Mountains and explore the hiking trails and scenic vistas of this beautiful region.

Final Thoughts

If you’re looking for a comfortable and convenient way to explore Carpinteria State Beach and the surrounding area, a Mercedes Sprinter RV is an excellent choice. With its spacious interior, easy maneuverability, and fuel-efficient design, this vehicle will provide a comfortable home base for your beach vacation. So pack your bags, load up your Sprinter, and hit the road for an unforgettable camping adventure in Carpinteria!

Reserving a Campsite at a California State Park

If you are thinking of renting an RV and heading to a state park in California, well, plan ahead. Book a campsite now because reservations open up 6 months in advance, and at some of the most popular state parks, they are booked solid all. the. time.

That’s the single best piece of advice I can give. Book your campsite reservation ASAP. Then you can fill in the blanks on renting an RV, scheduling time off work, planning meals and all the other fun stuff that getting ready to camp means.

Step 1. Pick some dates you want to camp. If you want to camp somewhere that is always booked, you need to look at your calendar for exactly 6 months in advance, which day you want to book. For example, if you want to camp August 15th-August 19th at Half Moon Bay State Park, you will have to get on the Reserve California website at 8am on February 15th, to have a chance to book those dates.

Step 2. Confirm that RVSupreme.com has a Sprinter available on those dates. You can submit a restoration inquiry on our Reseveration page.

Step 3. Head over to Reserve California, and start searching for dates at state parks. Depending on where you want to travel, you may have better luck booking a site less than six months out. But, for example, Half Moon Bay State Park at Francis Beach is consistently booked full six months to the day in advance.

Step 3. Make sure you book the right type of campsite for your trip. If you are traveling in an RV, you will want a Hook Up Campsite, which means you there is an electrical hook up for an RV. Each state park has different amenities. Half Moon Bay State Park has showers and bathrooms, and a waste dump at the exit. Other parks have waste dumps at each camp site.

Step 4. Confirm and pay for your reservation. Don’t wait, the spots often sell out. You can cancel later, and will only be charged the service fee.

Step 5. Book your RV with RVSupreme.com. And make sure you’ve got the days off of work if needed!

Crescent City, California

This RV’s first adventure started in Sandy, Oregon and ended in it’s new home, Menlo Park, California. But on the way there was a great adventure to be experienced. A drive from Sandy south through Oregon down Interstate 5 took us to Crescent City, CA.

Jedediah Smith River

Getting to Crescent City meant weaving through some of the great Redwood Forest territories in all of the West Coast.
